Chief Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe

Keli Tamakloe is a former Edmonton Police Commissioner. Keli has an MBA and a Sociology (major) with a Diploma in Education. Keli has over 25 years experience in the field of local government and organizational development with expertise in governance and executive management. Keli is currently a Leader and an Executive Management Professional with Hapfa Consulting. Most of his work is pro bono supporting the governance works of non profit organizations.

For several years, Keli has been an advisor to grand chiefs, chiefs, mayors, councillors, board directors and executives. For 13 years, he lived and worked on the Atikameg First Nation Reserve as a Chief Executive Officer. Keli is the President of the Ghana Friendship Association of Edmonton and a past Vice-Chair of the Council for the Advancement of African Canadians known as The Africa Centre.

Currently, due to the frosty relationship between policing and communities, Keli and others are championing and advocating for a legislated national professional standardization of policing recruit training across Canada that will deliver law enforcement excellence.

He is a recipient of several leadership awards including; a National Honours award, a Mary Burlie award for professional leadership, an Achievers of Ghana recognition, and a Lifetime Achievement award.
