Sir Rob Wainwright, who was awarded a Knighthood for services to policing and security by HM The Queen in 2018, is a senior partner with Deloitte’s cyber practice in North-West Europe. He leads a talented team of professionals, serving major clients with high-quality advice and technical support and helping to increase the strategic resilience of government and business sectors to manage dynamic cyber security threats.
Prior to joining Deloitte, Sir Rob was the Executive Director of Europol where he led their transformation into a world-class security institution that today is the primary intelligence-sharing and operational coordination centre in Europe, inter-connecting over 1,200 law enforcement agencies and supporting over 60,000 cross-border investigations of organized crime, terrorism and cyber crime each year.
Sir Rob is a board member of the Centre for Cybersecurity, World Economic Forum where he leads public-private cooperation initiatives on cyber. He is also Senior Associate Fellow at RUSI; Member of the European Council of Foreign Relations and a Member of Patrons’ Council, Missing Children Europe.
