Shelly has had the great pleasure of creating and being the program lead for TELUS WISE (Wise Internet and Smartphone Education) over the past three years, which has reached over 760,000 Canadians to date. This program has been endorsed by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police and partners such as the Amanda Todd Legacy, Bullying.org, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, Family Online Safety Institute, Hockey Canada and PREVNet.
Prior to this Shelly led TELUS’ public affairs strategy, including TELUS’ annual capital investment communications program, customer marketing including wholesale marketing. Before TELUS, she enjoyed many years working with extended teams to launch wireless service, Internet and Internet TV at SaskTel.
Shelly’s formal education includes an MBA from Heriott Watt University and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Regina.
Shelly and Marvin, her husband of 26 years, live in Calgary where they enjoy long runs along the Bow River.
