Shelly Bruce is the former Chief (deputy minister) of Canada’s national cryptologic agency, the Communications Security Establishment, including the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security. She spent 33 years in foreign intelligence and cybersecurity roles at CSE before retiring as head of agency in 2022. She is now engaged in various projects promoting national cyber resilience, including as a visiting professor at the University of Ottawa and as a distinguished fellow at Canada’s Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI).
