Inspector Ryan Jepson leads the Technical Operations Section of the Calgary Police Service which is comprised of teams that specialize in digital forensics, cybercrime, economic crime, and electronic surveillance. He has been a member of the Calgary Police Service for more than 20 years and he has recently participated on the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police E-Crimes Committee for the past two years. Ryan’s teams are in the process of implementing a cybercrime strategy that is tailored for the City of Calgary and aligned with best practices from across Canada and the world. Ryan holds a Master’s Degree in Justice and Public Safety Leadership from Royal Roads University, a Certificate in Information Assurance and Risk Management and a Certificate in Information Assurance from the Center for Information Assurance and Cybersecurity at the University of Washington.
