Ron Lees

Ron is passionate about connecting data and business practices through knowledge sharing. His work is instrumental in guiding dialogue on deriving system-wide value by enabling the utility of information across stakeholder groups with the aim of generating benefits to stakeholders and operational improvement.

As a senior leader within MNP’s Public Sector Advisory practice, Ron is responsible for directing strategic, sector-wide projects related to data, and information technology. He is a skilled communications professional and facilitator, engaging stakeholders across BC.

Ron recently spoke at the 2016 Health Summit on the topic of Unlocking the Value of Canadian Health Data based on his recent work on a collaborative initiative with the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities and the Office of the Chief Information Officer aiming to link federal, provincial and health authority standards around data privacy and information classification, with the ultimate goals of developing an information classification framework extensible across government boundaries and the broader public sector.

Ron has a Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) in communications from Ryerson University and earned a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Business in 2002. He also holds certifications in change management and project management. Committed to his community, Ron volunteers with the Greater Victoria Minor Football Association and is a proud supporter of the Moosehide Campaign.
