Robert Masse joined Deloitte Canada in May 2015 as a national partner in the Enterprise Risk Services practice. With over 20 years of experience in various disciplines of cyber security, he has built a reputation as a pragmatic security executive who can communicate at both the executive and technical levels.

Rob advises clients on operational security and security strategy, but also spends a significant amount of his time helping large, complex organizations respond to cyber threats and breaches. Over the past decade he has been engaged in many of the most high-profile security breaches impacting organizations globally. He is also a pioneer in the field of offensive cyber security, which is enabling organizations to proactively mitigate cyber-security threats before they materialize into breaches.

Through his extensive experience, Rob has gained tremendous insight into the motivations, techniques and strategies of advanced threat actors, including organized crime and state-sponsored organizations. He utilizes this knowledge to advise clients on becoming secure, resilient and vigilant against cyber risks.

On a more technical front, Robert has deep knowledge in assessing the operational security of organizations through penetration testing and red teaming.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Robert built and led the Canadian division of Mandiant.
