René’s forensic career spans over seventeen years. He has played a key role in numerous civil and criminal investigations. His broad range of practice includes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (“RCMP”), the banking industry as well as consulting within mid and large range accounting firms in Canada, Europe and South East Asia. His international experience provides him with a very unique understanding of multi-jurisdictional digital evidence protocols.

René’s advanced skills and experience in e-discovery as well as collecting and preserving digital evidence give him an understanding of the information flow within a complex digital environment therefore significantly speeding up fact finding assignments.

René completed the CBIS (Computer Based Information Systems) program through the University of Victoria, holds numerous Forensics and Security certifications, and has trained with the Canadian Police College on Electronic Searches and Seizures and the FBI academy in Quantico, Virginia on proper incident response for network intrusion investigations and hacking techniques.
