Rachael Ritchie – HC2024
Director, Innovation, Vancouver Coastal Health
Dr Rachael Ritchie is passionate about helping people, companies and communities embrace–and enable–innovation for impact. She is the Director of Innovation at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) where she’s working to establish a robust innovation ecosystem to enable staff and medical staff to generate and translate new ideas and advances in science and tech into every-day practice. She has worked in roles across the innovation continuum from research to commercialization, funding to policy to develop a rich understanding of innovation systems.
Rachael has a doctorate in Clinical Medicine from Oxford University and conducted medical research at John Radcliffe Hospital (Oxford, UK) and Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard, USA) before transitioning to broader strategic roles in France and Canada at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, Genome BC, and the Centre for Drug Research and Development.
