Piers has worked in the software industry for over fifteen years, specializing in XML technologies and standards, Java Development and Health Information Exchanges. He is a contributing author for IBM developerWorks (having published articles on topics including Mobile Design Patterns and building Healthcare Applications using HL7 CDA), an active member of several working groups within Canada Health Infoway, and an ongoing contributor to a number of open source projects.
