He is the author of over forty books on security and emerging technology, including CISSP Guide to Security Essentials, IT Disaster Recovery Planning For Dummies, CISA All-In-One Study Guide, and Solaris Security. He is the lead instructor at the University of Washington certificate program in information systems security, and on the UW advisory boards for certificate programs in Cybersecurity and Risk Management, and Cloud Transition and Business Strategy. He is active in InfraGard, the FBI Citizens Academy, and one of the founding members of the Pacific CISO Forum.
