Detective CAVILLA has over 23 years of policing experience with the Calgary Police Service in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Detective CAVILLA currently holds the rank of Detective and Acting Staff Sergeant and has been a Detective for 13 years, with the last 9 years assigned to the Homicide Unit of the Major Crimes Section of the Calgary Police Service. Detective CAVILLA has investigated over 300 homicides, and been involved with over a twenty homicides and suspicious deaths involving infants and young children. Det. CAVILLA currently acts as an advisor to police members attached to the Calgary Police Service Child Abuse Unit on “live cases” where children have suffered serious physical trauma/injuries. Michael is married with two daughters and currently resides with his family in Calgary, Alberta.
