Melissa Sadownik
Access and Privacy Advisor, FOIP Services, Service Alberta
Melissa Sadownik is an Access and Privacy Advisor. She joined the Corporate FOIP/PIPA team in Policy and Governance, Service Alberta in January 2012. In the eleven years prior to that, Melissa practiced law as a barrister and solicitor in the areas of family law and civil litigation, and taught secondary Social Studies and English Language Arts with Edmonton Public Schools. Melissa spent the last year honing her skills in the area of access and privacy law as well as becoming a valued member of the access and privacy community. She is actively involved in Alberta’s various public body FOIP Coordinator Networks as chair or co-chair of meetings and oversees Alberta’s FOIP Training Program which provides training opportunities and resources to Alberta’s FOIP Coordinator community. Melissa is pleased to be a part of this dynamic and exciting field as issues in privacy and access have wide reaching impact on both the public and private sectors.
