Marty Hodgett is senior vice president and chief information officer at Symantec, providing vision and leadership for developing and implementing all information technology initiatives. In his role, he will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of business operations in order to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and business development. He will also be responsible for all aspects of the organization’s information technology and systems. Most recently, Marty was the president and CEO of RivalWatch, which produced a Web-based competitive intelligence tool used by many of the world’s largest retailers and manufacturers. Prior to joining RivalWatch, Marty was the chief information officer and vice president of Business Strategy for Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH). At OSH he was responsible for all aspects of IT and business strategy including strategic planning, design, support and operations of all systems necessary to support the infrastructure of the company and stores. Before OSH, Marty also had a distinguished twenty-two year career at Accenture where he was a senior partner and worked across several industry sectors including retail, travel and transportation, financial services and temporary services. Marty has an MBA from Notre Dame de Namur University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University at Fresno. He is also a board member or advisor on a number of Silicon Valley start-up companies.
