Martin Castellani

Senior Coach, Compassionate Warrior Coaching

Residing in Victoria, BC, with his wife Nici and two teenage daughters Meara and Becca, Martin along with his family are the Compassionate Warrior Coaching Team. Together they have conducted numerous hours of Coaching, Facilitation and ‘Family Dynamic’ Presentations where each family member brings their talents, voice and vote to the business of Executive, Conflict and Family Coaching.

Having created several speaking programs, he co-created and presented The Persuasion Delusion, a six week program on how persuasion technologies affect individual and organizational health and wellbeing. With his wife Nici, they co-created the Relationships and Rollercoasters Program, a twelve week program for parents and teens to explore emergent teenage sexuality, which they have been presenting for over a decade.

As a Conflict Coach, he was a member of the Department of National Defense’s Alternate Dispute Resolution Centre where, for over 10 years, he instructed the Resolving Conflict Effectively and Conflict Management for Leaders courses and later attended Royal Roads University, becoming a Certified Executive Coach.

For over 20 years he has worked in several youth organizations including the Navy League of Canada and the G-Force Youth Program, mentoring at-risk teens. Martin possess a long history in working in leadership positions with various Not-for-Profit organizations including that Anglican Church of Canada, the Salvation Army’s Addictions and Rehabilitation Centre, and is currently working with the Commissionaires Victoria, the Island and Yukon Division where he enjoys working with veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Having retired in 2017 from over 20 years of service with the Royal Canadian Navy, Martin’s deployments have sent him all over the world. These included two wartime tours, one during the second Persian Gulf war and one in Afghanistan, where he deployed with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command.
