Jason Woywada is the Executive Director with the BC Freedom of Information and Privacy Association. His credentials include a Journalism Diploma and a Master of Business Administration, dual certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in Canadian Privacy and Privacy Management, and PROSCI certification in change management. Jason’s first career was as a full-service broadcast journalist in Manitoba before he moved to supporting elected officials in that province’s legislative assembly. While working in government in BC, Jason was one of the primary drafters of the BC Government’s 2017/18 and 2018/19 Report on the Administration of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. In 2020, a month before the pandemic, he became the Executive Director of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Association (FIPA).
