Ian Bailey

Ian has 28 years of experience in Information Technology and Information Management. After graduating from the University of Victoria with a degree in Computer Science, Ian spent 10 years developing software in the Oil & Gas industry, designing submarine detection systems and ultrasonic inspection technology for the Department of National Defence, and health care solutions for the Province of British Columbia. In 1991, Ian joined the BC government and has helped Shared Services BC and the Office of the CIO in developing shared services and corporate solutions. Ian is a thought leader in the development of the Pan-Canadian Identity Management Strategy and the BC Services Card solution for the Province.
