Honourable Andrew Wilkinson

Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services, Province of British Columbia

Andrew Wilkinson was elected MLA for the riding of Vancouver-Quilchena on May 14, 2013, and was appointed Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services on June 10, 2013. He is currently serving on the Legislative Review Committee and the Cabinet Committee on Secure Tomorrow. Andrew is a former deputy minister of the British Columbia Ministry of Economic Development, where he was responsible for economic issues, trade and tourism. He has also served as deputy minister for Intergovernmental Relations in the Premier’s Office, president of the BC Civil Liberties Association, president of the BC Mountaineering Club and president of the BC Liberal Party. Andrew worked as a lawyer in the Vancouver offices of a major, national law firm, where he had a special interest in green renewable energy development. Prior to being called to the bar, he was educated and licensed as a physician. He is married and has three children.
