Mr. Shahbazi has 25+ years of experience as a technology focused leader and operator. He is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of WELL Health Technologies Corp. (TSX:WELL).

WELL is a provider of digital health solutions to doctors and care providers in both the US and Canada. It is also the largest owner & operator of outpatient medical clinics in Canada. The Company currently owns and operates 83 healthcare facilities, and its comprehensive practitioner enablement platform is used by more than 21,000 physicians in Canada alone to power their healthcare practices. WELL is driven by more than 2700 employees and healthcare providers who engage in greater than 4M patient interactions annually.
Hamed also founded TIO Networks (TSXV:TNC) a multi-channel payment solution provider specializing in last minute bill payment and other financial services. TIO was acquired by PayPal (Nasdaq: PYPL) for CAD$304 million in 2017.

Hamed has extensive strategic Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures experience as an operator and board member having completed more than 50 successful transactions.

He is a passionate advocate of impact entrepreneurship where new companies aim to do well by doing good. Founders of these types of businesses he describes as “Impactreneurs”. Hamed regularly mentors founders and entrepreneurs of early stage companies and also supports many of them with early stage investments via Impactreneur Capital Corp.

Mr. Shahbazi has been recognized with a. number of awards including but not limited to Business in Vancouver’s CEO of the Year, (2017), Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year (2017 and 2022), and Cantech Letter’s TSX Venture Tech “Exec of the Year” (2014 thru 2016). TIO was also awarded with the TSX’s Venture Tech “Stock of the Year” (2014 and 2015).
