Erin Wiskar – VISS25
Director, Government Relations, Vancouver Airport Authority
As Director, Government Relations, Erin Wiskar drives the Airport Authority’s external affairs program and policy development. She is responsible working with government and industry partners to support YVR deliver on its role as a hub of innovation, sustainability, Indigenous reconciliation, and economic generator that supports our local communities.
Erin brings over 10 years of experience in stakeholder and government relations, program management and project delivery. She joined YVR’s Operations team in 2021 and was the Airport Authority’s primary operational and regulatory liaison to CBSA, PHAC, USCBP, and CATSA, working with representatives locally, regionally, and nationally on matters related to passenger processing. Erin then moved into External Affairs in 2023 when she was appointed Manager, Government Relations. In June 2025, she was appointed Director, Government Relations.
Prior to joining the Airport Authority, Erin Wiskar played a senior leadership role in building a successful private consulting practice specializing in program and project management, operational readiness, and strategic advisory services, primarily focused on aviation. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
