Eileen Padgett

Eileen Padgett is the A/Director of Operational Privacy within the Privacy and Legislation branch of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services). Eileen’s team reviews the privacy impact assessments for all government programs and proposed legislation. Eileen and her team also provide corporate guidance on privacy to ministries during the development of large cross-ministry programs and systems. Eileen has also been involved in leaning the PIA review process, as well as developing new templates and guidelines for PIAs within government. Most recently, Eileen has been heavily involved in the development of government’s Privacy Management and Accountability Policy, which codifies government’s privacy management program.
In addition, Eileen has an MA in Post-War Recovery Studies from the University of York, England, and two BAs from Simon Fraser University in Criminology and Political Science.
