Dr. Denise Heaney
Senior Scientific Affairs Manager, Diagnostics Information Solutions, Roche Diagnostics
Denise Heaney is the Senior Scientific Affairs Manager in Medical and Scientific Affairs supporting the Diagnostics Information Solutions (DIS) Division. DIS is a new division within Roche Diagnostics with a focus of providing decision support from the lab to the bedside through digital diagnostic solutions. In her role, she leads the efforts of clinical studies, scientific communications as well medical plans and activities for DIS applications.
Denise has been with Roche over 10 years in a variety of roles including Strategic Business Development Manager, Public Health and Molecular Clinical Specialist supporting the Southeast territory of the Molecular Diagnostics Division. Outside of Roche, Denise was a laboratory director for both Molecular Pathology and Histocompatibility and Molecular Immunogenetics laboratories. She has previously been an inspector for the College of American Pathologist and a long standing member of the Association of Molecular Pathology.
Denise earned bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, along with a minor in zoology, from North Carolina State University. She obtained her PhD in pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina. Denise enjoys staying active and being a mom to 4 children.
