Dr. Courtney Genge

Program Advisor - Aging in Place Challenge Program, National Research Council Canada

Dr. Courtney Genge is a health services and policy researcher with a special interest in supporting older adults. She holds a PhD in Dementia studies from the University of Bradford where her work focused on improving the quality and safety of emergency department care for people living with dementia. She has worked extensively on innovative models of care, technology augmented care, and health system transformation both in Canada and the UK. Dr. Genge currently serves as Program Advisor for the National Research Council of Canada’s Aging in Place Challenge Program. The program aims to develop new technologies, and catalyze adoption of innovative solutions that support and empower older adults and caregivers to age in place.
