Daniel is a proven global cross industry (Financial Services, Telecommunications, Industrial, and Technology) cybersecurity and technology executive and thought leader with extensive experience in all facets of cybersecurity technology development and operations. Having held positions such as CTO, VP Security R&D, Director of Advanced Cybersecurity, and Chief Cybersecurity Architect in large transnational organizations as well as innovative security technology start-ups.
Daniel has a deep technical background in security that has involved novel R&D, product and standards development, as well as working as a leader/contributor across multiple industry and government groups. He has been a key technical contributor to U.S. government expert testimony and cyber policy. Daniel has been involved with and/or has led working groups in IEEE, IEC, U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the U.S. White House Office of Science and Technology for defining security standards, best practices, and strategies. Through his start-ups and other organizations Daniel’s work has had impact with national security organizations and objectives, and Presidential Commissions for Cybersecurity. He has written multiple patents in the security field and contributed to numerous industry and government reports and strategies globally.
Daniel currently leads Security Product R&D for Arctic Wolf which includes leading our MDR, MR, and Security Intelligence and Analytics & Analytics.
