Executive Director, Strategic Policy, Privacy and Legislation, Ministry of Citizens’ Services
Colleen Rice is the Executive Director, Strategic Policy, Privacy, and Legislation (SPPL) in the Ministry of Citizens’ Services. As the ED for the SPPL Branch, Colleen is responsible for IM/IT policy and legislation development, including the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence Policy Framework.
Colleen has worked in a variety of policy and legislation related positions since joining the Public Service in 2007. Her experience includes participating in the creation of the Anti-Racism Data Act, the implementation of the Public Interest Disclosure Act, and the development of a modernized Information Management Act.
