Chris Quon

Privacy Advisor, Privacy, Compliance and Training Branch, Ministry of Citizens’ Services, Province of BC

Chris is a Privacy Advisor with the Privacy, Compliance and Training branch within the Ministry of Citizens’ Services (aka BC Government’s corporate privacy office) – a team which he is proud to be a part of due to the positive privacy practices championed throughout the branch, his amazing coworkers and the breadth and variety of work. This work ranges from managing the in-person training portfolio (including facilitating privacy sessions to ministries, the broader public sector and private sector organizations) to providing advisory consultations to ministries on the privacy considerations for current and ever-evolving (thus challenging and exciting!) topics such as cloud and de-identification. Chris is a graduate from the University of Victoria (Bachelor of Commerce, Masters Certificate in Project Management) and has completed his Certified Information Privacy Professional/Canada credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
