Chris Inglis
Former Deputy Director, NSA
Chris Inglis currently serves in the U.S. Naval Academy’s Robert and Mary M. Looker Distinguished Chair for Cyber Studies. He retired from NSA in January 2014 following over 41 years of federal service, including seven and a half years as Deputy Director. He serves as a Director on the Boards of FedEx, Huntington Bancshares, KEYW. He is a Strategic Advisor to Securonix.
Mr. Inglis serves on the Strategic Advisory Groups of the Director of National Intelligence (where he leads commonwealth engagement on cyber security), the National Security Agency (where he serves on the information assurance panel), and United States Strategic Command (where he leads the intelligence panel).
Mr. Inglis holds technical degrees from Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and the George Washington University. His military career includes over 30 years of active and reserve service in the US Air Force from which he retired as a Brigadier General in 2006 and holds the rating of Command Pilot.
Mr. Inglis’ earned three Presidential Rank Awards (2000, 2004, and 2009), the USAF Distinguished Service Medal (2006), the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Eagle Scout Award (2009), the Director of National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal (2014), and The President’s National Security Medal (2014).
