Carolina Moura is a Legal Consultant, a Lawyer, a Data Protection Officer and a Guest Professor invited by Universidade de Lisboa to present several lecturers regarding the Personal Data Protection (hereinafter “PDP”) area. Her passion for technology led her to become a specialist in the PDP area having completed a master thesis related to the privacy risks for individuals & companies of the processing of images, namely using facial recognition software by social networks and CCTV technologies in Europe with possible impact on more than 1 billion of users. In Portugal, Carolina worked as Solicitor/Barrister in one of the best Portuguese Law firms where she has led audit teams and was a legal advisor for international projects worth several million euros. In Ireland, Carolina has been providing specialist data protection compliance services to Irish companies in the financial, insurance and legal sectors and has been helping several software developers to create their products with a privacy by design approach.
