Alexis Kerr is General Counsel and Director, Legal Services & Integrated Risk Management for the Fraser Health Authority, a public health care organization of 27,000+ employees, physicians and volunteers that operates 13 hospitals and many other health-related lines of business in British Columbia. She is also a current executive member and past co-chair of the Freedom of Information (FOI) and Privacy Law section of the CBA – BC Branch, a current executive member of the CBA National Privacy and Access Law Section, and a frequent speaker and author of many articles addressing FOI and privacy law issues. Prior to joining Fraser Health in 2007, Alexis practiced commercial litigation and FOI/privacy law at a large, multi-national law firm, first in Toronto and then in Vancouver. She is also accredited as a Certified Information Privacy Professional – Canada (CIPP-C) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, of which she is a longtime member.
