An innovator in the technology and security industry, Jaime Chanagá serves as Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Fortinet for Latin America and the Caribbean. He is passionate about helping private, public, and social sector organizations to address their most critical security challenges ensuring their business success. In this role, he serves as an expert, speaker, and cybersecurity advisor for organizations in the region.

Jaime brings a strong track record as a trusted advisor for cybersecurity strategies to customers in Latin America and the Caribbean, coupled with deep experience in international markets, establishing global strategic partnerships and leading digital transformation programs.

Chanagá is an expert information security professional with an exceptional +20-year career track record in information security, technology, privacy, audit, IT architecture, regulatory compliance, and IT governance. Throughout his career, he has been privileged to serve and advise some of the world’s most admired organizations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Latin America.

His writing includes collaboration as a co-author of the book Corporate Security in the Information Age (Aspatore). Jaime is also member of InfraGard, a partnership between the FBI and the private sector. InfraGard includes businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States.

Chanagá is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is also a graduate of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Citizens Academy, is a Fusion Liaison Officer for the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) North Texas Fusion Center (NTFC) and is a member of the United States Secret Service (USSS) Cyber Fraud Task Force (CFTF). Jaime speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
