Elizabeth Vander Beesen, has been with the British Columbia Provincial Government over 25 years. In her current role, Director Operations, Corporate Information and Records Management Office, Elizabeth is responsible for managing a service based operation within the division with a strong focus on budget as well as developing and implementation of hiring strategies. In 2009 when government centralized Freedom of Information and Records Management, Elizabeth participated on the Business Transformation team responsible for the structure and set up of the Information Access Operations (IAO), where she developed and implemented improvements in order to streamline government’s performance. Prior to joining IAO, a large portion of Elizabeth’s career was with the Ministry of Forests where she was the Director, Information Operations where she was responsible for FOI Access, Privacy, Records Management, Litigation Services, Information Security and Information Technology Security.
