National Healthcare Leader, Cisco Systems
As Regional Vice President, Al Amiri is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Cisco’s Western Canada Public Sector sales and operations covering four provinces from Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
With more than 16 years of experience at Cisco, Al brings proven record of success and broad understanding of the company’s strategic business to the Cisco Canada leadership team. In 2010, Al was named Regional Director, N. Alberta Sales & Operations and since then has added Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia business and operations to his portfolio, where he is responsible for the development and implementation of Cisco’s Public Sector strategy. In this position Al aligns Industry Solutions, Sales, Field engineering, service, marketing, and operations to streamline Cisco’s customer experience with respect to Western Canada markets and contributed to national public sector verticals discipline in Healthcare, Education & Innovation, Smart Cities, Government Shared services and Utility/Hydro segments. Al was named Game Changing Leader in his first year as the Regional Director at Cisco by Chuck Robbins, Senior Vice President of America’s Sales and Operations at the time and now the President and CEO of Cisco Systems.
Prior to joining Cisco, Al held a variety of leadership positions in sales management, outsourcing, strategic business development and transformation at IBM Canada, EDS Systemhouse and Dell Enterprise Solutions.
Al also serves on various business and community boards. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his 15 year old daughter and 12 year old son and enjoys golfing and other outdoor activities.
