I am a police officer with the West Shore RCMP, and I have been a member for 6 years. During my time as a police officer, I have seen countless people fall victim to fraud, losing significant amounts of money. For the past two years I have been working in the Community Policing Section, and have taken on doing fraud presentations for a variety of community groups in the West Shore area. My goal in doing these presentations is to bring awareness to the multitude of scams out there by teaching people some of the red flags to watch out for, as well as what to do if they become a victim of fraud.
