Ronan is a seasoned healthcare consultant and leader with over 20 years of experience in transforming healthcare organizations and systems in Canada and the UK. Ronan has served as a contracted Assistant Deputy Minister and Independent Alberta Surgical Recovery Lead with Alberta Health. In Manitoba, Ronan was the Chief Operating Officer of Health Sciences Centre (HSC) Winnipeg. Ronan previously led KPMG’s Canadian National Healthcare Practice on Cost Improvement and Transformation supporting clients across Canada.
Prior to moving to KPMG, Ronan formed part of a senior leadership team which established EY Canada’s National Healthcare Practice and led nationally on cost optimization. Ronan has served on numerous boards of not-for-profit organizations, including the Federation of Irish Societies.
Telemedicine/Telehealth
Ronan was the policy lead for Telecare in the English Department of Health (2006-08) and in 2010, led the EY delivery team for what was then the largest Telehealth pilot in Europe which involved the redesign of care pathways for CHF, COPD and Type 2 Diabetes and the design of a “care at home: model. Ronan also co-authored in 2010, for EY Global the White Paper “When Remote Care is Core” and led program evaluations of Remote Patient Monitoring initiatives for both the European Union and Canada Health Infoway. More recently, Ronan supported the development of Manitoba’s Virtual COVID 19 Program and proposed expansion for patients with COPD and CHF.
