Wes Sylvester

Wes Sylvester is the worldwide Vice President for Cisco Systems’ Industry Solutions Group. In this role, he is responsible for industry direction, vision, messaging, and growth. Wes’ team works with Cisco’s manufacturing, retail, utility, healthcare, education, financial services, transportation, government, oil & gas, and mining customers across the world to establish business case, architecture, and integrated communications network strategies for a variety of operational investments.
Wes has over 15 years of focused experience leading and building global marketing and sales teams at the director and VP level for major industry players including Cooper/Eaton, Siemens, and Philips/Signify prior to Cisco. Wes holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MSOE in Milwaukee, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, with a concentration in Strategy and Leadership.
