Sorana Ionescu
Acting Vice President, Information and Technology Services, IESO
Sorana Ionescu is Acting Vice President, Information and Technology Services. In this role, she is responsible for IESO’s information technology solutions support and cybersecurity. She also has oversight of the Smart Metering Entity.
Ms. Ionescu has been with the organization since 2008, where she has held various roles, most recently as the Director, Smart Metering, and before that in conservation. Prior to the IESO, she worked for a major Canadian bank where she focused on developing customer-centric solutions through complex uses of customer data and information, and advanced analytics.
Sorana holds an Executive MBA from Richard Ivey Business School, a nuclear power engineering degree from the University of Bucharest, and various certifications in business management and energy sector leadership.
