Simon Sutcliffe
President, Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration
Dr. Sutcliffe is a clinical oncologist, no longer in clinical practice. He graduated from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, University of London (1970) and trained in internal medicine, scientific research, medical and radiation oncology in the UK, South Africa, US and Canada.
He is President of Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration (2009-to date), a volunteer-based non-profit Society bridging disparities in cancer control between the higher and lesser-resourced worlds. Formerly, he was President and CEO of the Ontario Cancer Institute/ Princess Margaret Hospital (1994-96), the BC Cancer Agency (2000-09), Chair of the Governing Council of the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control, inaugural vice-chair and past-Chair of its’ federally-funded successor, the Canadian Partnership against Cancer (2007-2012).
Past and current roles include government-funded institutions, non -governmental organizations, private sector companies, charitable foundations and international cancer control networks.
