Michelle Ward
Senior Director, Communications and Government Relations, Canfor
Michelle is Senior Director, Communications and Government Relations for Canfor. She leads the external communications for the company including issues management, government relations, community engagement, media relations and corporate brand positioning.
Prior to joining Canfor, Michelle was a Senior Vice President in the Vancouver office of Canada’s largest communications firm where she primarily led resource sector files with a focus on advancing proposed projects, engaging communities and building positive corporate reputations.
Michelle holds a diploma in marketing communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia. In addition, she holds a certificate from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in public consultation and engagement.
Michelle serves on the Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland’s Planned Giving Advisory Council.
