Mal Griffin
Chief Information Officer and Corporate Director, Service Innovation, Interior Health
Malcolm (Mal) Griffin was appointed to the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Corporate Director, Service Innovation at the Interior Health Authority in December 2012. Previously, Mal was the Regional Director Laboratory Services and CIO (April 2010) and Acting Vice President, Clinical Services and CIO (April 2011 through March 2012). Mal was first appointed CIO at Interior Health in September 2005 and has held management roles in the areas of diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, biomedical engineering, information technology, information management, systems development, and application implementation and support.
Mal completed his MBA studies at the University of Fredericton in August 2014, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University and has more than 24 years’ experience in the health care industry. In 2009, Mal was named one of Computer World’s Premier 100 IT Leaders.
