Jimmy Yang is a Managing Director and National Health Industry Leader at Accenture. He has a 20+ year career as a health leader, strategist and entrepreneur across health care, life sciences and clinical research. He works with leaders across Canada on national and provincial transformation programs and modernization efforts in areas of models of care, digital and technology and health human resources. Additionally, he has advised governments and industry on new models of partnership to improve access to care closer to home and to reduce burden on acute care institutions.
He is an Adjunct Faculty member at the Schulich School of Business (York University) in their Health Industry Management Program and he serves as a Board member at the Krembil Centre for Health Management and Leadership. Jimmy serves as Co-Chair of the Accenture’s Global Strategy Advisory Council, which represents health care geographies spanning Latin America, Europe, North America, and Asia. In 2020, he was appointed to Ontario’s Joint Ministers Roundtable to advise on the COVID-19 Ontario Health Data Platform, aimed to use anonymized health data to help researchers and health system partners to better detect, plan, and respond to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Jimmy will be speaking about ‘Design Principles for Modernizing Primary Care’ and will be sharing recent Canadian survey insights from frontline clinicians and Canadians about their preferences and needs.
