Jim has experience in senior leadership roles in all 4 Western provinces and in leading several national health care initiatives particularly focused on innovative solutions that deliver a substantive clinical value. He has championed “Choosing Wisely” and “Personalized Medicine” developing provincial strategies for both MB and BC. Jim’s leadership positions include: BC’s first Chief Provincial Diagnostics Officer leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of the province-wide pathology and medical laboratory service delivery model; CEO of Diagnostic Services Manitoba leading the transformation of provincial diagnostics; as well as COO of Shared Health, Executive Director in SK, and Healthy System and Business Advisor in AB. Jim is currently the Chief of Research Administration and Operations, Paul Albrechtsen Research Institute, Cancer Care Manitoba pursuing his passion for research and innovation that have real positive impacts for patient care and outcomes.
