Jeannette Van Den Bulk  is the Assistant Commissioner – Strategic Privacy for the Office of the Commissioner for Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP) in Victoria, Australia. She has been with the CPDP for one year after working for eight years with the privacy branch at the Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services in British Columbia, Canada.

Jeannette has designed privacy solutions for large scale, multi-party information sharing initiatives in both Canada and Australia. In BC, she led a team of privacy advisors that reviewed and advised on all Privacy Impact Assessments in government (over 500 per year). Her current role has her providing strategic privacy leadership to the Victorian public sector in the areas of cloud computing, big data, information sharing, biometrics and identity management.
