Dr. Christopher Parsons
Managing Director, Telecom Transparency Project, University of Toronto
Dr. Christopher Parsons holds a Ph.D from the Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria, where he investigated the political drivers of Internet service providers’ network surveillance practices in Canada, the United States, and United Kingdom. He is a Postdoctoral Fellow and the Managing Director of the Telecom Transparency Project at the Citizen Lab, Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. Dr. Parsons is currently investigating the rationales, processes, practices, and politics of third-party access to telecommunications data. He is also a Privacy by Design Ambassador and an advisor to several small- and medium-sized organizations.
