David Houlding is the healthcare privacy and security lead architect at Intel with 20 years of experience in healthcare, privacy, security, and architecture. As the former lead architect for the Intel Health Guide System, and prior to that the Chief Architect of Perot Systems Healthcare Payer Systems, Mr. Houlding has extensive experience in healthcare provider and payer information systems and privacy & security. He also has experience across a variety of other business domains including financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications, insurance, satellite imaging, and research and development. With several patents, Mr. Houlding has a proven track record for innovation. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a Certified Information Privacy Professional, and has a master’s degree in applied science for Data Compression and Digital Signal Processing from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. Mr. Houlding has presented keynotes and sessions, and participated in panel discussions at numerous major industry conferences including HIMSS, mHealth Summit, InfoSec, NIST HIPAA Security Conference, iHT2 Health IT Summit, HealthTech NextGeneration, NIST Security Automation Conference, Enterprise Architecture Practitioners Conferences, Innovation Insights, and several other conferences. He has also published numerous articles in major trade journals including Healthcare Technology Online, Dr. Dobb’s Journal, and has made contributions to book publications including XML Unleashed and has been interviewed for newspaper and trade articles.
