Colum Cavilla
Detective, Calgary Police Service
Det. Colum CAVILLA is currently assigned to the Cold Case Homicide Unit as a Detective with the Calgary Police Service, and has been a police officer for the last 19 years, of which 10 have been as an investigator running major criminal investigations within the police service.
Prior to the Homicide Unit, Det. CAVILLA was assigned to organized crime and gang investigations for approximately 7 years. During that time frame, Colum was in charge of directing and managing several interprovincial and international investigations targeting organized crime and the criminals within these organizations. Over the past 7 years, Colum has directly been involved in the investigation of over 100 Homicides in the City of Calgary.
Colum is married with 3 children and currently resides in the City of Calgary with his family.
