Ciaran Aiken

Lead, Privacy, Access and Governance, BC Centre for Disease Control

Ciaran Aiken is the Lead for Access, Privacy and Governance at the BC Centre for Disease Control, where he navigates the world of public health surveillance and research, information management, oversight and compliance. He is the current Chair of the Panorama Data Governance Committee, the provincial public health information system spanning BC and the Yukon. Prior to joining the BCCDC, Ciaran was a Senior Policy and Legislative Advisor with the Ministry of Citizens’ Services, supporting BC’s privacy and access to information legislation portfolio. He holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
