Caitlin Lemiski

A/ Adjudicator, Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for B.C.

Caitlin Lemiski is an Adjudicator (Acting) with the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for B.C. She began working for the Commissioner’s office in 2007 as an Investigator and then as a Policy Analyst. She is a graduate of the University of Victoria (B.A. 2002) and of the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law (LL.B. 2005). After law school, Caitlin worked as a privacy officer with the Ministry of Justice. In 2012, she appeared with Commissioner Denham before the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics Study on Social Media and Privacy, and she has spoken frequently to public and private organizations about the challenges of meeting legislative requirements when using social media to screen and monitor employees. Caitlin is certified as a CIPP/C (Canada) and CIPP/IT (Information Technology) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
