Annemarie is Clinical Nurse Specialist in heart failure/transplant at St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, Canada she holds a Masters degree in Clinical Nursing. Annemarie has over 30 years’ experience in cardiac nursing in Australia and Canada. She has authored and coauthored over 80 publications and is a recognized heart failure and transplant expert. She is an international leader in heart failure, mechanical support and transplant nursing, having participated in multiple guideline and consensus documents and led multiple groups and committees. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation. Annemarie is an Adjunct Professor with University of British Columbia School of Nursing, a Certified Cardiovascular Nurse (Canada) and a Certified Clinical Transplant Nurse (USA).
